The mission of the Detective Bureau is to support the Patrol Division in the completion of investigations involving crimes within the Borough of Tinton Falls. Our division pursues cases that require detailed investigative or technical expertise.
They also involve follow-up investigations. Other responsibilities include evidence collection and storage, juvenile offender matters, bias crimes, Megan's law monitoring, narcotics investigations and all matters which directly affect the safety and welfare of children.
The Detective Bureau works on cases in conjunction with several agencies including the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, the FBI, the DEA, the Secret Service and other local and state law enforcement agencies.
